Fall Hazard Prevention in the Home; Toolbox Talk

Fall hazards are foreseeable at work and in the home. Slip, trip, and fall hazards can be identified and then eliminated or controlled to prevent exposure that can result in injuries or even death. Using the Hierarchy of Controls, I created the table below of the types of controls and examples that everyone can implement right now to eliminate and prevent falls in the home. Use this table to discuss slip, trip, and fall hazards in the home to bring awareness of the simple things we can do to prevent injuries.

Talking about home safety is a great way to implement a Total Worker Health mentality and this Toolbox Talk is a great place to start.
