


VIRTUAL 8-HOUR HAZWOPER REFRESHER TRAINING CLASS
Overview
The 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher class is designed to help participants maintain compliance with OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (29 CFR 1910.120). This annual refresher ensures that employees remain competent in hazard recognition, safe work practices, emergency response, and regulatory requirements when working with hazardous waste or responding to chemical emergencies.
Through interactive discussions, real-world case studies, and virtual hands-on activities, participants will reinforce critical safety skills such as:
Identifying and controlling chemical, biological, radiological, and physical hazards.
Understanding updates to OSHA, EPA, DOT, and NFPA standards.
Properly using PPE, respiratory protection, and monitoring equipment.
Applying decontamination procedures and medical surveillance requirements.
Practicing emergency response and incident command strategies.
By the end of the class, learners will be able to confidently evaluate hazards, make informed safety decisions, and effectively respond to hazardous material incidents while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Learning Objectives
