This five-hour virtual training session will cover Part 1904 Recording and Reporting Occupational Injuries and Illnesses. Students will learn OSHA requirements for documenting recordable occupational injuries and illnesses, and reporting specific cases to OSHA.

Learners will get hands-on experience with examples of injuries and illnesses and how to classify them as first-aid, recordable, reportable, or both. Employers will learn their responsibilities under OSHA regarding recordkeeping and reporting requirements.

You will get to practice completing an OSHA Form 300 Log and OSHA Form 300A Summary with examples of injuries and illnesses. You will also learn how to calculate Total Recordable Rates (TRR) and Days Away, Restricted, or Transferred Rates (DART).

You will receive an OSHA Injury and Illness Quick Guide PDF as part of the coursework for this class.

Learning Objectives

Attendees will be able to:

· Explain recordkeeping requirements for Employers

· Define a first aid injury/illness, recordable, and reportable

· Identify if an injury or illness is considered work-related

· Demonstrate how to complete an OSHA 300 and 300A Log

· Analyze incidents to determine if they need to be recorded on an OSHA Log

· Determine if an incident needs to be reported to OSHA

· Calculate Total Recordable Rate (TRR) and Days Away Restricted or Transferred Rate (DART)

· Describe how to report 300A data electronically, as well as the new rule of reporting 300 and 301 data.

Certificate of Completion

You will earn a certificate of completion after participating in the class stating the total hours, date of the training, the title of the training, and the instructor's name. To receive your Certificate of Completion, you must complete and pass a quiz to evaluate what you learned, and complete an evaluation of the class. For the quiz, you must pass with a 70%.
